A Prayer For Change

2008 Democratic National Convention

Denver permit process now in place

The city of Denver has followed through with their promise to implement the permit process on March 3. During the February 20th meeting with City Attorney David Fine and his staff, Rev. Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition and Danielle Versluys of Survivors were assured of the city’s intent to allow permit applications as soon as possible. March 3rd was given as the target date.

Our meeting with the City Attorney and his team went remarkably well, and we are even more pleased now that the permit application process is underway. During the course of our meeting, we offered our prayers on behalf of the city of Denver, law enforcement, and officials responsible for the safety and security of the city. Katherine Archuleta, adviser to Mayor Hickenlooper, took us up on our offer and requested prayers for safety during the convention.

Please keep the city of Denver and the convention in your prayers as we lead up to the August events!
